Welcome to WineBoy! Well it’s been a little while since I last wrote to you, but I figured there was enough going on this past weekend that I ought to give you all a heads up about what’s happening at Patland. The whole of Napa Valley was abuzz the last few days as everyone was getting ready for one of Napa’s biggest events of the year, Premiere Napa Valley. Premiere is an auction that draws trade and media from all over the country to taste some of the finest wines California has to offer. We at Patland were lucky enough to participate this year, making it our third appearance thus far.
We kicked things off with an Open House at Terra del Cuore on Friday. Chef Philippe Reynaud once again graced us with his mastery of the culinary arts, as we enjoyed fine artisan cheeses, succulent lamb chops, and the usual assortment of thin-crust pizzas. There was a terrific turn out, with two new faces for every one familiar one. And with so many people, such great food and killer wine, I think it’s safe to say we were off to a good start.
