Last week Patland Estate Vineyards hosted a wine maker’s dinner in Brandon’s Restaurant at The Beverly Heritage Hotel.
Executive chef Philippe Reynaud once again outdid himself in pairing PEV wine with a delicious four-course entree that turned our meal into an unforgettable event.
One of the things he created was Seared Breast of Duck with French Sour Cherry Compote paired with 2007 Syrah. The combination of flavors was incredible! The tartness of the cherries and the tender duck breast complemented the blackberry, maple and chocolate flavors of the wine perfectly.
