92 Points - Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine
PATLAND Stagecoach Vineyard Napa Valley 2011
Showing none of the limits that its vintage predicts and, in fact, a very deep and generously filled wine rife with well-defined, ripe cherry and blackcurrant fruit, this supple, full-bodied young Cabernet is so rich and outgoing that it would be easy enough to ignore its ample structural tannins and enjoy it with juicy cuts of beef even now. That said, we strongly encourage waiting as it has a great deal in reserve and promises to impress even more with time. Allow it to rest for at least three or four years, but we feel safe in predicting that it will age famously and continue to grow past its tenth birthday.
