CGCW Review: Big, very generous and somewhat confusing at once with no small measure of ripe fruit, sweet oak and lees working to fight off an insistent matchsticky presence, Patland's is an ambitious Sauvignon Blanc of considerable depth and extract that reaches further than most. It is a wine that is not nearly ready to drink, and, while many Sauvignons will improve with age, this is one that absolutely needs waiting.
