2016 "Select Barrel Reserve" Malbec

The first thing you’ll notice on this wine is the unique purple color that is inherent to Malbec. Then as you bring your nose to the glass you’ll be welcomed by aromas of plum, fig and dates. The flavor profile of this wine is rich, but can come across as subtle if not given the time to open up. You’ll also find notes of black pepper, baking spices and Mexican chocolate. You may find this wine a touch leaner and more European in style than in past vintages. Nonetheless, it is delicious and will only be enhanced by years in the cellar.
