James Suckling: Lots of dark, decadent fruit to this, yet it's all in reserve and also consists of mocha, dust, ivy and crème de cassis. Full body, round tannins, no shortage of ripe fruit and a chocolate-laden finish. Slightly jammy. Drink in 2020.

Winemaker Notes
Dark and sultry, this wine opens with aromas of fresh violets. They are then followed by purple plum, licorice, boysenberry, and finally a subtle undertone of pyrazines. On the palate these flavors grow to include tobacco, leather and cigar spice. Creamy tannins hold the complexities of this wine with you far past the last sip.
