2017 Proprietary Red Wine

One of our winemaker’s favorite technical terms is “Yum Factor” and this wine has that in spades! On the nose it’s bursting with ripe fruity aromas of cooked fig, blackberry pie and blueberry jelly. All of this tied together by a floral ribbon of fresh violets. On the palate, you’ll find a perfect balance of fruit and acid. Don’t be misled by the nose; just because this wine smells of all your favorite stewed fruit, it is anything but a mouth full of compote. Bright acidity and unobtrusive, well-integrated tannin make this a pleasant wine to sip on from the first dinner course to the last. On that last sip, you’ll even find a slight cocoa finish. All in all, an elegant wine meant to liven any meal.
