The 2008 Cabernet is my favourite Patland wine and in the top few of my overall favourites. Somehow I imagine this to be the more mature older brother of the wonderful Patland 2013 Cabernet Select Barrel Reserve. The 2008 has a complex character and yet beautifully balanced, with layered notes, velvety texture, and an incredible finish. ...A true pleasure to be enjoyed slowly, with someone special. :)

The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the finest wines I have ever experienced. I have only shared a bottle on five different occasions, but each time I was left utterly impressed. It is like trying your first 25 year old single malt Scotch, your first sip of a superior vintage Champagne, your first time racing a Ferrari on the track, or your first time...well, you get the point. It will leave you breathless. It changed my entire perspective on wine and turned me into an inquisitive oenophile.
