2012 Cabernet Sauvignon

Wine Enthusiast Review: A thick, decadent and dark wine with 5% Malbec blended in, this spent almost two years in nearly all new French oak, giving it a backbone of vanilla oak and toast. Atop that density and richness sits high-toned characteristics of plum and cassis.
October 15th -October 21st , 2012
20 months in 92% New French Oak Barrels
95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Malbec
“Dark garnet hue; Intense black cherry, cassis, anise, chocolate, cigar spice, caramelized new French oak, sage and clove. Expect a full and plush mid palate density with layered flavors of ripe plum, blackberry, cedar spice, currant, integrated toasty oak and dark chocolate. The persistent yet balanced finish exhibits excellent depth, purity, and elegance.” Winemaker, Jay Buoncristiani

Complex and rich fruit flavors, well balanced with nicely integrated tannins. Finishes with subtle chocolate notes that just make you want to go back for more! This is tasting incredible now, but should age for another 10+ years. This wine is the best of all the 2012s Cabs I've tasted in Napa or anywhere else.
