Pale gold, this wine will saturate in color just as its complex bouquet will intensify over time. Upon release, this Chardonnay gives off fresh aromas of McIntosh apple, sweet pear, honeydew melon, and banana peel. Quick on the heels of fruit, expect to find notes of spicy garden greens and fresh veggies, like radicchio and arugula, squash and zucchini. On the palate, this wine showcases a well-preserved, bright acidity that dances around its richness, giving an impression of buttered citrus. New oak plays a prominent role in the flavor profile of this wine, as vanilla and sweet cream intersect with fruit to create a distinct flavor of banana cream pie. On the finish, expect to find notes of dried apricot, browned apple, crushed almonds, cedar and beeswax. Pair with pan-seared sea bass in lemon garlic herb sauce, or a lobster roll made with fresh brioche.
